We are leaders in several subfields of physics & astronomy. We infuse that leadership into education and service. Our research foci include the origin and structure of the universe, the microscopic and macroscopic description of condensed matter and biological systems, and the physics of the environment.

Special Event : Tuesday, April 30th, 2024

You are invited to attend The Frontiers of Physics : A Celebration Honoring Barry Barish.  Starting at 1pm, there will be a series of presentations from invited speakers and UCR faculty on gravitational waves, neutrinos, dark matter, and cosmology.  At 5pm there will be a reception followed by a public lecture at 6pm by Professor Barry Barish on Gravitational Waves : Unraveling the Mysteries of Our Universe.
