2019 Employment Opportunities
The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for the Faculty positions listed below to start on July 1, 2019.
Research Faculty are expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program, develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and undertake service activities. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in physics or a related field, a record of original research accomplishments, and the potential to develop a successful independent research program.
Applications should include a full curriculum vitae, a description of proposed research, teaching philosophy and letters from three professional references. A statement addressing potential contributions of the applicant to diversity may be included. Review of applications will commence on January 1, 2019, with appointment to begin July 1, 2019.
