Parking Information for UCR Physics Department

Parking for workshop participants has been arranged in Lot 13. Please proceed to the parking kiosk on West Campus Circle Dr, right off University Ave, and mention the CA CMT Meeting to the attendant. Parking is $5/day or FREE for UC employees with valid UC permits (you will still need to obtain a courtesy permit form the kiosk!). There will be an attendant on duty at the information kiosk on Saturday, 7:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. If you plan to park on both days (Saturday and Sunday) please request a two-day permit on Saturday!

For those of you staying in the Extension Center: unfortunately, the Extension Center parking permit is not valid on campus, you would have to either purchase an additional campus permit or consider a ~10 minutes long walk between the Center and the Department.

Unofficial directions:

If you are coming from the West, take FWY 60 East and exit on University Ave (second exit after a big 60/215/91 freeway interchange). Turn LEFT on University (i.e., under the freeway), and then turn RIGHT on West Campus Circle Dr at the second traffic light (very shortly - the first traffic light is immediately on the other side of the freeway). You will see the parking kiosk in ~ 200 ft.

If you are coming from the East/South, take FWY 60 West / 215 North and exit on University Ave. Turn LEFT on University, and then then turn RIGHT on West Campus Circle Dr at the next traffic light. You will see the parking kiosk in ~ 200 ft.

If you are coming from your hotel, take University Ave East. Go under the freeway and then turn RIGHT on West Campus Circle Dr at the second traffic light (very shortly - the first traffic light is immediately on the other side of the freeway). You will see the parking kiosk in ~ 200 ft.

After obtaining your parking permit, continue driving on West Campus Circle Dr until you see the first large red (4 or 5 stories tall) building on your right. (The main campus will be on your left.) Turn RIGHT immediately before this building at the sign for Parking Lot 10. Ignore the first small parking lot on your right (Lot 10), park in the non-reserved area of the large parking lot (Lot 13) further down on your left.
