The 2012 Fall Meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics (DNP) will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach, California, from Wednesday, 24 October, through Saturday, 27 October. The meeting will open with a plenary session on Wednesday afternoon, and conclude Saturday afternoon. Several topical workshops will be held on Wednesday morning before the plenary session.
The meeting format will follow that initiated with the 2008 Oakland
Meeting and continued in 2010 (Santa Fe) and in 2011 (East Lansing).
Wednesday morning will be devoted to three parallel workshops,
The afternoon Plenary Session is being organized by incoming DNP Chair Bob McKeown. A reception will be held that evening. Parallel two-hour scientific sessions will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning, comprised of an invited speaker session, minisymposia, and multiple contributed paper sessions. On Thursday afternoon the CEU poster session will take place along with a Physical Review Meet-the-Editors reception. On Friday afternoon, the final time slot will be devoted to the DNP Business and Town Meetings. That will then be followed by a cash bar reception and a banquet. On Thursday evening there will be opportunities for User Group meetings. Please contact R. DNP 2012 will close at 12:30 on Saturday, following the second of the two scientific sessions that morning.
Companion's Program There will be a companion's program meeting during the first plenary session on Wednesday afternoon. The $50 fee covers, the companions meeting, the reception, and early morning coffee.
